We weaned off formula by 14months and my girl never really took that much cows milk from then on. but we just kept offering it, and making sure she had milk on cereal in mornings and plenty of yoghurts, cheese etc or as a treat i'd make custard for dessert.
A balanced diet is all they need and whatever you are comfortable with is right for your baby!
